How does Easy Photo Estimate work?


1. Access your claim on your mobile device from our app or geico.com and select Easy Photo Estimate as your repair estimate type.
2. Take pictures of your damage from a few angles and upload them to your claim (we'll guide you).
3. An auto damage adjuster will review the photos, write an estimate, and issue your payment in as little as one business day.
4. Give the estimate to your body shop when you take the vehicle in for repair.

The damage should be easy to see in the picture, so make sure you have:

  • Good lighting. Please ensure your photos taken in well-lit areas, with minimal glare or shadows.
  • Clear visibility. Make sure the damaged area is dry and not covered by any objects, such as snow, dirt, leaves, drop cloths, boxes, etc.
  • Proper distance. The online guide helps you with taking each picture from the right distance. Some photos will need to be of the entire vehicle, and some will only need to be of a specific area.
  • Full vehicle access. Give yourself room to move around your whole vehicle so you can take pictures from all sides.
  • Proof of ownership. We need a photo of the vehicle title or registration to verify ownership and issue payment.

  • Where do I request the Easy Photo Estimate inspection type?

    If you're filing a claim under your own policy you may access your claim from your mobile device in the mobile app or on geico.com. Customers filing for damage under someone else's GEICO policy need to access their claim using their mobile device on geico.com.

  • Once I request the Easy Photo Estimate inspection, when do I start taking photos?

    We'll send you a confirmation email that gives you an access link to begin the process. If you're filing a claim under your own policy, you may also use the mobile app or log into geico.com on your mobile device to begin the process.
    If you're filing under someone else's GEICO policy, you may log on to geico.com from your mobile device to begin.

  • How long does it take to complete the Easy Photo Estimate photo taking process?

    You will be taking and submitting 10 photos, which usually takes about 15 mins.

  • I submitted a set of photos and I received a request to take more. Where do I go to do that?

    When submitting photo retakes, please access your claim using geico.com.

  • Once you submit your photos an auto damage adjuster will be assigned to review them. They will complete a detailed estimate and email you a copy. Your adjuster will then contact you to discuss payment options.

  • What if my repair shop says my damages are more than the estimate I received?

    Please have your repair shop contact your auto adjuster.

Q: Where can I find my password?
A: Your password is located on your Order Form or Picture Proof Envelope under “Online Password”. If you have misplaced your Order Form or Picture Proof Envelope you can call our studio at (216) 631-0664 ext. 28 and Customer Service will be happy to help.
Q: How long do I have to order my photos with the password from the Order Form?
A: You have up to 48hrs after picture day to use the Online Password.
Q: Can I see the photos before purchasing?
A: If ordering online within the 48hrs after Picture Day you will not be able to view your photos before purchase. If you’d like to view your photos before purchase, you will receive a Picture Proof Envelope with an individual Online Password within 4-6 weeks after Picture Day. You will then be able to view and order your photos.
Q: My child missed picture day, how can they get their picture taken?
A: Schools schedule a Retake Day once they receive their first set of pictures. If you happen to miss both of these days call our studio at (216) 631-0664 ext. 21, let us know that you missed your Picture Day and that you would like to schedule an In-Studio Retake.
Q: If my child did not get their photo taken on Picture Day will I receive a refund of my online order?

Q: When will I receive my photos?

Q: Will they send my pictures to the school or my home?
A: If you prepaid online before picture day, at the school on picture day or online within 48hrs after picture day; your photos will be shipped to the school. If you ordered after receiving your Picture Proof Envelope, your photos will be shipped to your home.
Q: Do I have to pay shipping and handling for each child?
A: When placing an Online Order you do not have to pay S&H for each child. When ordering, add your first child’s order to the Cart, and then select the Storefront button at the top of the page. Next enter the password for your second child and add their items to the Cart. Repeat these steps for each child. When you are finished select your Cart and proceed with your order.
Q: My child forgot their Order Form, can I still order?

A: Retouching includes a smoothing of facial blemishes. It does not include Retouching of teeth, hair, jewelry, etc. If you’d like additional Retouching please call our studio at (216) 631-0664 ext. 28, pricing starts at $35.
Q: Why didn’t I receive my Class Composite with my package?
A: Class Composites are designed after your school’s Retake Day. They will be shipped to the school to be distributed once they are completed.
Q: You were at my child’s sporting event taking photos, how can I see and purchase them?
A: Visit our website at www.ripchostudio.com. Scroll down on our home page to Action Sports Images then click Find Your Event. Galleries are listed by School. You can then select your school and child’s sport. Click on the image you would like to purchase and add the image to your cart.
